호주 빅토리아주에 거주하시는 한인동포 여러분 안녕하십니까.

제32대에 이어 33대 빅토리아주 한인회를 맡고 있는 회장 박응식입니다.

 

청룡의 해라는 2024년은 빅토리아 주 한인회가 출범된지 어느새 52주년이 되는 해 입니다.

고국을 떠나 이 먼곳 까지 올 때에는 세계에서 가장 살기 좋은 곳이라는 호주에 대한 꿈이 컸고 또 그 꿈을 현실로 이루어낸 분들도 많겠지만 여전히 다 채워지지 않는 허전함과 외로움이 함께 합니다. 아무리 노력해도 그 간극을 좁히기 힘든 언어 장벽, 문화 갈등은 향수를 안겨 줄 수 밖에 없습니다. 특히 기후변화로 인한 자연재해로 전염병과 이상기온 등 어려운 일들에 맞서면서 삶 자체의 위기도 존재하는 어려운 상황입니다.

 

하지만 우리는 늘 위기를 기회로 바꾸는 멋진 DNA를 가진 한국인들입니다. 특히 빅토리아 주 한인사회는 다양한 배경과 경험, 재능을 가진 분들로 이루어져 있습니다. 이 다양성은 우리의 아주 큰 강점이고 자랑스러워할 일입니다. 다양성이 모여 통일성을 보이기에 더 튼튼한 사회, 조화로운 단체로 발전되고 있습니다. 또한 다양한 재능기부가 힘이 되어 한국의 역사화 문화, 예술을 이 땅에 널리 알리고 있습니다. 이 힘은 향후 우리의 정체성을 더욱 확고히 해 줄 것입니다.  

 

오랜 전통을 가진 문화부터 시대를 이끄는 최신 문화까지 우리 대한민국과 한국인은 세계에서 주목을 받고 있습니다. 한류는 이미 세계적 열풍을 일으켰고, 음악, 드라마, 영화, 뷰티 등 다양한 분야에서 세계의 인정을 받고 있습니다. 이는 우리의 자부심을 키워주는 일이기도 합니다. 이에 발맞춰 우리는 한국인으로서의 자긍심을 지키고 더 발전시켜 나갈 것입니다. 그것이 우리의 조국 대한민국을 제대로 알리는 일이기 때문입니다. 

 

유구한 역사, 세계를 이끄는 문화 뿐 아니라 경제적으로도 강국이 되고 기술 혁신, 산업 선도국으로 자리매김해 온 대한민국은 이제 명실공히 선진국의 대열에 어깨를 나란히 하고 있습니다. 한국 기업들의 성공적인 글로벌 진출과 그 기술력은 우리 한인사회에게도 자랑이 되고 힘이 됩니다. 

 

빅토리아주 한인회는 반만년 역사를 가진 나라에서 온 국민답게 이 땅에서도 우리의 정체성을 확고히 하고 후세에 전해 질 가치를 만들며 한인으로서의 자부심을 가질 수 있도록 앞장 서고 버팀목이 될 것입니다. 

 

그를 위해 여러가지 프로젝트를 지속적으로 실행해 나갈 것입니다. 한인회원 여러분의 협조가 없이는 단 한 걸음도 전진할 수 없는 일이라는 것을 알기에 지속적인 관심과 열정을 당부 드립니다.

Hello, all Koreans who living in Victoria Australia. 

 

I am Park Eung Sik, the 33rd president of the Korean Society of Victoria, followed by 32nd.

 

2024, the Year of the Blue Dragon, marks the 52nd anniversary of the launch of the Korean Society of Victoria. 

When we left our home country and came this far away, we all might had a big dream of Australia that used call ‘the last paradise’ in the world. There are many people who have made that dream a reality, but I believe still many of us feel a sense of emptiness and loneliness that cannot be filled. No matter how hard you try, the language barrier and cultural conflicts that make it difficult to bridge the gap are bound to give us nostalgia. In particular, we are in a difficult situation where life itself is at risk as we face difficult challenges such as infectious diseases and abnormal temperatures due to natural disasters caused by climate change.

 

However, we are Koreans with wonderful DNA who always turn crises into opportunities. In particular, the Korean society of Victoria is made up of people with diverse backgrounds, experiences, and talents. This diversity is our greatest strength and something to be proud of. Because diversity comes together to show unity, we are developing into a stronger society and harmonious organization. This power will further solidify our identity in the future.

 

Korean is very historical country and have old and new unique culture.  Korea and Koreans are attracting attention around the world. The Korean Wave has already become a global craze and is gaining global recognition in various fields such as music, drama, movies, beauty and many other fields. This also builds our self-esteem. In line with this, we will protect and further develop our pride as Koreans. Because that is the proper way to promote our country, the Republic of Korea.

 

The Republic of Korea, which not only has a long history and a world-leading culture, and also become an economically powerful nation and a leader in technological innovation and industry, is now standing shoulder to shoulder with the ranks of advanced countries, both in name and reality. The successful global expansion of Korean companies and their technological prowess are a source of pride and strength to our Korean community.

 

As a citizen of a country with over 5,000 years of history, the Korean Society of Victoria will take the lead and support us in solidifying our identity in this land, creating values that will be passed on to future generations, and allowing us to feel proud as Koreans.

 

To that end, we will continue to implement various projects. We know that we cannot take a single step forward without the cooperation of our Korean members, so we ask for your continued interest and passion.

Let's do it together. We can do it!
